Our mission is to provide essential aid swiftly and efficiently, ensuring humane living conditions (peopleforpeople.info). From responding to crises to organizing events that foster connections and deliver essential supplies, we're committed to offering hope and support to asylum seekers in the Netherlands.


As a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of our projects, including Rolling Aid Events and crisis relief missions, in alignment with our strategic goals. Working closely with the Foundation Director and other team members, you'll develop project plans, assess specific needs, and collaborate with on-site location managers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage projects at People for People, both short and long term, including Rolling Aid Events, drop-offs, and crisis relief efforts.
  • Coordinate inventory management, packing, delivery, and organization of donations.
  • Lead volunteer management efforts, guiding and connecting various volunteers across the Netherlands during our events.
  • Communicate effectively with on-site location managers, donation partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Implement experiments to optimize project setup and delivery for maximum impact.

Job requirements

  • Available 32 - 40 hours per week
  • Freelance or employment contract basis
  • Previous experience in a dynamic work environment
  • Proven experience in project management 
  • Preferred experience with refugees or in crisis situations
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and proven track record in entrepreneurship
  • Solution driven and team player
  • Demonstrated perseverance and resilience
  • Fluency in Dutch, with proficient English skills required

  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities, especially in crisis situations

  • Driver’s license and ability to drive manual van
