People for People is looking for a Content Manager! Are you passionate about creating impact through storytelling and social media? Do you have a big heart for helping people? Then, we are looking for you!
We are a collective of entrepreneurs - backed by the founders of bunq, MessageBird, and Adyen - who strive to support people of all nationalities in a crisis or conflict by taking action to meet essential needs and support humane and dignified living conditions (peopleforpeople.info). We do this by acting quickly in crisis situations and delivering aid where it is needed most. We also organize events that are designed to connect people, deliver essential items, and provide a moment of hope for people seeking asylum in the Netherlands.
We are looking for a qualified Content manager to join our team. You will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content to share the impact we are making and grow as a foundation. You get to find creative ways to grow our social media presence to raise awareness of the refugee crisis in the Netherlands, guide other volunteers creating content, and develop a brand identity for People for People. In this role you will also be on the ground at events to connect with people, feature and share the inspiring stories you encounter, and have first hand experience of what we do at People for People! You will work closely with the Director, Project Managers and the Partnership Lead to attract business partners and lead the communication strategy for events and communicating the impact to external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all communication and content creation during Rolling Aid events. i.e. capture inspiring stories at different locations in the Netherlands and coordinate content across social media channels
Collaborate with our amazing partners such as Action, Tony’s Chocoloney, Otrium, Bever Sport, Lidl, and more!
Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term foundation goals
Liaise with the PR agency and find opportunities for the right media attention
Coordinating role in guiding volunteer designers and copywriters to plan and develop employer brand, content, style and layout
Develop an editorial calendar and ensure content team is on board
Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention
Job requirements
Available a minimum of 16 hours per week (with immediate start date)
3-6 month freelance or work contract (negotiable)
Past experience working in dynamic work environments such as a start up
Solution focused and excited about working together as a team
Proven work experience in a content, marketing or PR team
Desire to be ‘on the ground’ and meet people face to face to share their stories and what we do
Excellent writing skills in Dutch and English (preferably native English speaker)
Attention to detail
Good organizational skills, guiding or mentoring others, external stakeholder management
Flexible! Ability to switch priorities quickly and adapt, especially in the event of a crisis situation
